Sip Wine in Moderation for Health Benefits
While we all know the downsides of drinking a lot of wine, like intoxication, addiction and obesity, recent studies have shown that drinking wine in moderation each day can improve our health and increase our lifespan.
Red wine especially contains many antioxidants among which resveratrol and proanthocyanidin have significant health benefits. Half a glass of wine is enough to get all the good and avoid all the bad wine has to offer.
Prefer a wine made of thick skinned grapes like Cabernet Sauvignon and Pinot Noir, which contain the highest amount of antioxidants. If you don’t like red wine you can always choose white wine instead or purple grape juice, while keeping an eye out for those excess sugars in the latter.
Remember not to pair Alcohol with diet soda as it increases the intoxicating effects. Also if you can’t or won’t consume alcohol, tea is a good source of antioxidants also.
