A Quick, Easy & Healthy Dessert Recipe
When you’re following the paleo lifestyle, or a diet that doesn’t allow for most “conventional” dessert ingredients such as sugar, gluten, grains, nuts, seeds etc, it can be hard to find great dessert recipes. However, and contrary to popular belief, there are lots of ingredients you can use for scrumptious sweets that are healthy and paleo-friendly. These include coconut products (milk, oil etc), fruit and honey.
For a quick and easy healthy desert, cold coconut milk in the fridge until it thickens up. Then pour the coconut milk in a blender with frozen fruit –berries and cherries are fine. As the fruits are blended, add a scoop of vanilla protein powder to thicken up the mix. When the mix is homogenous, it is ready to be eaten! To add some extra flavor, you can throw in a banana or choco flavored protein powder.
